Found this on CL today. a 2018 Conti 2.7 AWD with 14,000 miles for 38k. For reference thats 8k less than a barnd new base model MSRP.

I almost want to say CP just based on the quality of the pics in the ad. Also I would like this car 1000% more if the interior matched the exterior color.

The interior should be tan , not black . A matching blue interior would also be amazing.

I think someone would be crazy to buy this, as I expect values to continue to plummet. That interior is reminiscent of our old Mercury Sable: black and dirty.

I agree whole heartedly. Black interiors are bad, especially on light colored cars

Considering new model discounts are probably around 5k easy I’m not sure a 3k discount is really worth 14,000 miles of wear and tear

We have a black car with a black leather interior. It is  dangerously uncomfortable in the summer. I would rather have a light interior inside of a light- coloured car , but it’s definitely a question of taste.

I can’t stand the look of tan interiors and when looking at cars online I instantly close an ad for a tan interior car. I’ll take any other color pretty much, though white + a 2 year old and 6 year old is a bad plan.

Every car has a black interior, unless you special order. Its one of the things that makes used car shopping so depressing.

With kids - and a more realistic outlook on life - I have given up on keeping things “clean” or “new”, so I am willing to live with the eventual grunge that would develop in a light-coloured interior. Maybe not “tan”, but some sort of light brown/beige/tan/whatever.

Yes, many cars no longer offer any interior colour options. And many people choose black even if colours are available. It’s definitely not much fun!

Light colors  do make an interior look a bit better but that’s a bout it from a practical POV. Black may not look the best or be the nicest in summer but with any kind of child like messes or if you wear dye heavy jeans I’d much rather try to keep up a black interior.

I’ve actually had a hard time dodging tan interiors when shopping in the past. Maybe Michigan just likes tan interiors? Maybe it’s because I prefer old people Mercury’s? Who knows

Yeah with the kids it’s a huge benefit to get black. I also have remote start so I don’t worry about it being overly hot.

I love the beige/linen color they come with though, especially with a burgundy or blue exterior. But, I’m definitely in a very small minority.

Really? The Fusion has the same problem but it’s not a large luxury sedan it a car for cool dads and sporty mom’s.
